Our Engagement |
|
On May 18, 2013 Randy
proposed to marry Kathy while standing on their backyard deck gazing at
Pikes Peak. Due to a momentary lapse of sound judgment, Kathy said,
"Yes! Absolutely Yes!" We celebrated that evening with a romantic
dinner at Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse. |
|
Kathy's ring is the 18
carat white gold Shiraz
from designer John Atencio. It is set with a 1.67 carat round
diamond center stone and has 30 accent diamonds. It is the most
beautiful and unique wedding ring we have ever seen. |
|
Could not resist taking a
picture of Kathy next to the Shiraz ring sign at the John Atencio store in
Park Meadows. |
|
Kathy surprised Randy by proposing right back to him on November 26, 2013. Kathy wore her beautiful Herve Leger Linden Ombre dress, played "Marry Me" by Train in the background, and then held up a sign that read, "How about an hour from now?" The significance of this question goes back to when Randy was considering proposing to Kathy. Before proposing he asked her, "When would be the earliest date you will be ready to consider a marriage proposal?" Kathy's unforgettable reply was, "How about an hour from now?" <smile>
I love you Kathy. |

Kathy gave Randy a very
handsome 14k white gold ring with a polished base band and a
brushed overlay band. Two diamonds are set on the brushed band. We think
our rings look great together. |
|
We were married on
December 6, 2013 at the Douglas County Clerk and Recorder's office
in Castle Rock. After filling out all the paper work and getting
married while standing at the counter (too fun!) we ventured across
the street to the Old Stone Church to have a few beers as our first
activity as husband and wife. |
|
Later that evening we
planned to dine at Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse to continue
our marriage celebration. Kathy did not expect a big white stretch
limo to be our transportation for the evening. |
|
This photo was taken
inside Del Frisco's. Look at Kathy's beautiful wedding dress, lacy
knee-high socks, and white boots! |
|
After an amazing dinner of
exceptional quality beef, the restaurant brought us a dessert of
chocolate cake and rose petals. It was a very special evening that
we still find ourselves talking about. |
