Scottsbluff, NE - July |
Over the third weekend in
July 2014, we ventured to Scottsbluff, NE to visit relatives. The Robidoux RV Park is the place to camp with visiting Scottsbluff and
Gering.
Betty took this trip with us so she could meet members of Randy's family that were not able to attend the wedding.
We were in site 13 which
had nice big shade trees over the picnic table and patio.
Site 13 is full hookups,
including cable TV. Next time we need to bring a coax.
The new Sprinter looks
nice all set up.
Site 13 appears to be a
back-in site but is really a pull through due to the location of the
water, electric, and sewer.
Betty approved of the
accommodations and enjoyed the view of the monument. We never made
it there but will try again next year.
Betty said it had been a
very long time since she camped...in anything.
After we picked up
Grandma, she helped Randy walk down the hallway by letting him use
her walker. |
Grandma Klein visited our
site on both Saturday and Sunday for lunch.
Grandma and Randy are all
smiles.
Look at Grandma's new
glasses. She say she picked them out by herself without help from
anyone. Rather trendy, yes?
Pictured here is part of
the crew that joined us for a BBQ on Sunday, including Uncle Bill,
Grandma, Kathy, Betty, Heidi, Aunt Debbie, and Uncle Roger.
There is Hunter, Beverly,
and their two kids along with Heidi and Aunt Debbie.
Does Heidi ever take a bad
picture?
Uncle Bill and Randy both
sporting the facial hair.
The weather was beautiful,
maybe even a little hot. Luckily the beer and wine were cold and the
food was tasty.
There is Heidi
again...perfectly framed between the tree trunks.
Uncle Roger and Aunt Kathy
joined us on Friday night for beverages and again for Sunday lunch.
Everyone hanging at the
campsite in the shade while enjoying lunch.
I know...every trip I take
a picture of the grill, but this thing is cool.
In order to serve 14
guests I had to cook the food in four stages...two stages each for
chicken and veggies. |
Betty and Grandma Klein
were very comfortable dining inside the camper.
Kathy ate lunch inside the
camper with Betty and Grandma Klein.
On our way home we made
our usual stop at Little America for a bathroom break and to buy
some ice cream.
