Cheyenne Mountain - October |
For the Colorado
College homecoming weekend, we decided to make it a camping trip as
well. We booked site 13 in the new Cheyenne Mountain State Park
located in south Colorado Springs. |
RV sites are all full
hookups. Our site was very level and had a nice tent pad, too. |
Site 13 is located in a
large cul-de-sac that has a great view. |
All set up. |
The cul-de-sac is both
secluded and offers great space to play. |
No leveling blocks needed. |
Our new camper represents! |
Dinner on the first night
was chicken ravioli, Brussels sprouts, and red wine. |
On Saturday we checked in
at the CC homecoming registration and received our nametags and
lanyards. |
We watched the CC vs.
Alabama - Huntsville hockey game at the Word Arena. |
The game was very exciting
with CC winning by one goal. |
Yeah CC! |
We stopped by the library
to find Randy's college thesis. I am sure the last time this book
was opened was 1992. |
I was given a B+. And
seriously, how can you make Fund Accounting exciting? |
Back at Cheyenne Mountain
State Park, we walked the entire campground to find the best sites.
Without a doubt, the best year-around site is 27. Excellent privacy.
During the Summer season, we liked our site 13 best due to the view
and cul-de-sac. |
After site 27, another
good site is 38. |
Site 39 is pretty good,
too. |
