2015 BMW X1

In late May 2014 we set out to replace Kathy's Lexus sc430 with a vehicle that would get Kathy from Castle Rock to Denver no matter the weather or road conditions. After visiting the Denver Auto Show, Kathy was certain that the BMW X1 was the right car for her.

We researched the different models (28i and 35i) and the various options packages available. Kathy decided that a blue X1 with brown leather (just like her Lexus!) equipped with the Ultimate and Climate packages would be perfect. After scanning the inventories of every BMW dealer within 100 miles of Denver, we discovered that Murray BMW had just received the exact vehicle with the options we wanted, plus the xLine trim.

We drove to Murray BMW and inspected this super-cool X1 that still had the transportation plastic on it. We negotiated a decent dealer discount and made it ours. Well, we made it Kathy's.

Kathy's new X1 is gorgeous. It has AWD performance and a twin scroll turbo that will dust anything that gets in her way, including the competing option from Audi, the Q3. The X1 28i has 40 more horsepower than the Q3.

Soon after we brought it home Randy took it to Jazz-it-Up to get the windows tinted to illegal 20% plus clear bra on the hood, head lights, and side mirrors.

Beautiful 'Nevada' Terra leather seats.

Funky 18" Y-spoke wheels are included in the xLine package.

The 2-liter twin scroll turbo engine pushes 240 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque to the 8-speed transmission.

Rear back-up camera with front and rear visual parking assist.

A good navigation system will hopefully prevent Kathy from losing her way.
